I was reading how everyone who owns a 60 or 3K love the user interface , and ive heard the 1K interface to be very cluttered, so my questions is how fluidly does the 1K,s interface alow you to work.

Im not asking for a comparison between these MPC,s but its just noted how people love the 60 and 3k,s "FlOW" and i know it all depends on the user as well but there is a definite boundry when it comes to something letting you work creatively or not ,

i love the work flow of the 1k and find it very easy to use. if i have an idea in my head i can get it out with 1k. an extremley capable and user-friendy machine.

I had a 1000 and I"m in search of another after and I still use my 4k. Don't beleive the hype the 1k is the truth and its easy to use and beats out the other MP's in a lot of catagories

I'm a 4000 user. I'm poking my head inside this forum because, my boy came over this weekend with his 1000, hoping that i could help him learn it - he's never used an MPC before. Without a manual, and without ever having used a 1000 before, i walked him straight through 90% of the functions in 30 minutes. The 1000 is very similar to the 4000 in many ways. They're not the same, just similar in more areas than in the 2000 or 2000XL. Its interface is very inviting as well as user friendly. I agree totally with pad-ophilliac and throw big-ups to what blunt has said. The 1000 is definitely the truth...

The 1k user interface is cool, but then again its my first mpc. But i can say I have tried out an mpc60 once, and it was easier to navigat than the 1k. I'll tell you why pretty anything you need to do has button laid out right there in fromt of you. Plus it has a seperate number pad (unlike the 1k where the pads have 4 functions per pad). But I can see why alot of ppl like the 3000/60 interface.
