New mpc 2000 xl, was this a good deal?

nah, i haven't got it yet. I bought it off ebay. I should have it within about three days. I have been using reason 3.0, along with an m-audio keystation. Does an mpc work good with reason? Like can i play all the sounds that reason has to off with my mpc. Prolly a stupid quesiton, but i have never even seen an mpc in real life, only in magazines. I can't wait till i get it though. Thanks

now start asking questions like how do i sample .. or how do i turn it on....

nah, i can definetely figure that out. I prolly will have some questions though, but like i said i won't get it for another 2-3 days

The mpc gets along very well with reason. The questions you need to start asking yourself though are.

1.Will you sequence in reason or use the mpc to sequence? (I say use mpc and use reason as a sound module)

2. What are you gonna track and record your beats with?

Those are 2 of the question I hadn't asked my self before copping the mpc and other gear to work along side reason. Have fun with your purchase though!
