problem with card directory

just wanted to know if anyone else had a problem where there flash card will not let them use all of the space on there. I have a 256mb card when it get to about 160 it will say that it is full???????? [/img]

it might be some programs or something in there check the folders and see if theres something big in there

Err, had something similar - was moving some samples around on my card via a Mac last night. If you do not empty the Trash (deleted files) folder the removed files will not register on the CF card. Strange, I know....

first, format your card

you may have some unusable files on there that your pc recognizes but your mpc doesn't, therefor eyou cant see it from your mpc

load it to your pc and look through your files

i had that same problem. i was saving everything to the Root instead of to Folders. to fix this i had to create some folders. (when creating a new folder you may get a "system error"-if so you'll just have to delete a sample or two and then proceed. save the stuff you already have to the folders and delete them from the root and it's smooth sailing after that and you shouldn't have problems using all your mb's of space.
