OMG I made this transition and it hasn't been a good one. Okay I got tired of the 2000 got the 1000 and was impressed. Ditched the one so I could have more options when I mixed down my indiv. sounds and the 2000XL functions are SLOW!!!!!!!!!! WTF??? Why is sooooooooo slow when it comes to resampling and time stretch?

A MPC 2500 or updated MPC 1000 wouldn't be a bad idea. Cuz the 1000 moved like lightning. I'm truly dissapointed---what to do????????? And hell no I'm not giving you my MPC!

I went from 2000XL to 1000 and I think it has a lot to do with the fact that the 2000XL was made years ago and computers weren't as fast back then. Anybody know if the blue 2000XL's have faster processors in them?

Ditch the 2000xl then get a 3000, ditch that to get a 4000, ditch that for a 60, then ditch that for a 1000 and use a computer fer your timestretching needs ;)

Well at least you know that there's only 2 more MPC's to try out... the 3000 and the 4000. The 3000's discontinued so, ya might as well come join us 4k users... we're done with all of that ditching.
