HI, I finally bought a MPC60 yesterday night ! :D :P Its in great condition with 3.10 os but no scsi. Anyway, the price was a bargain ( 600$ can ) and I've wanted one for years... its an amazing machine !
Only thing i'm asking myself is ; I've seen a lot of MPC60 and its the first time I see one that has a white eject disk button on the floppy drive.
Do you think its the original floppy or the guy replaced it. The guy bought it used in the early 90s like that and used HD floppy since = no problems.
So, what do you think ?!

Mine came without the disk eject button, Its quite awkward (and painful) to use your finger. Won't matter SCSI arriving next week! :P

Congrats Vinz! You will enjoy it.

Sounds like the drive was replaced for sure.

BTW. I haven't heard or seen many people using the Yamaha RY30. I've had two in my life and really love it. Do you use yours at all? I found the sounds are pretty appauling but once you get into edit mode I can get some fantastically crazy s... out of it. especially glitchy percussion and great digital thin bass :-) And great midi too. What do you make of it?

Thanx arctec ! am sure I'll enjoy the 60 !
Well, I used my RY30 a lot a couple years ago, but now I'm really more into sampling and underground hip-hop. So its not the main gear I use in my studio. But still usefull, and yeah, its great for midi.
So you think the guy replaced the floppy ? That's what I think too. Good thing for me !

don't assume it was replaced with a HD drive. check th model or assume its a DD drive.

Hey disk drive is black! Could this mean mine was also replaced? I have an MPC 60II V 2.14. Most pictures have seen the disk drive is white also? :?
