Just curious. I believe I read somewhere that SND loads faster than WAV. Anyone knows about that?

maybe, but if the sounds are coming from the computer they'll probably be in .wav format. i thought the files get converted to .snd inside the mpc....as far as which is faster im not sure..why you ask?

Nothing important really. I'll be moving from my MPC 1000 to a 2000XL in a couple of days, and was thinking of converting my library in the best way from the beginning.

SNDs load and save WAY WAY faster on my MPC's zip drive. I use WAVs because CEP deson't ssem to save SNDs rigth for my MPC to read them

Aaah.... should have known (using Audtion). But there must be some kind of conversion tool? I have a vague memory that Awave could read/write formats including MPC.

Ihave also heard snd is faster, but when i tried wav i did'nt really felt a difference in speed so i started to save as wav, that way i could edit the files in the computer
