I got the JV 2080 and Motif in MIDI A & B on the MPC. I just got a Mo Phatt. I don't know how to use the MIDI through on the Motif to control the Mo-Phatt. HOW DO I DO THAT?

^^^^Yep a simple "Daisy Chain", that should get you there.
You may need to set the Motif up so it will transmit MIDI thru, I don't know Iv'e never meesed with one.

Alriight--NOW--how do I control the Mo Phatt through the MPC because there is only MIDI A (Roland) and B (Motif).

Will another MIDI assignment appear or does the Mo Phatt share B with the Motif?

the mpc can only handle 32 midi channels
midi out A=16 channels
midi out B=16 channels

it prob would be easier if you daisy chained your mo' phat thru the jv2080 verses the motif

So whatever rack I send the Mo Phatt through will share 16 channels---thus 8 + 8 on the B midi port--correct. So I can only use 8 channels off the Mo Phatt and 8 off the other rack.

What about individ. control? If I turn to a channel on the rack that the Mo Phatt is through.
Won't BOTH the Mo Phatt and other sound module move at the same time? This is kinda confusing.

U have to mute the channel on all the other modules(exepct for the one u want) so the sound dosent trigger.

So if u have motif on channel 1-8 - (mute the channels 1-8 on the fantom)
and the fantom on channel 8-16 - (mute channels 8-16 on the motif)

READ A MANUAL and think.......

I have a MPC, Motif, Planet Phatt, and MS2000r. I use the Planet Phatt and MS2000r on Channel A and the Motif on Channel B. I'm at work so I can't go into detail, but the Motif manual explains how to mute channels and you can download the MoPhatt manual from E-mu's website. You have to go into the Master edit screens for the MoPhatt and get access to which channels from there. I'll check back later and see if you got it.
