why does the mpc make the bass sound like it hits harder than with out the mpc.
just turn the bass down if it hits too hard

I talked to Akai and Roger Linn last week in a meeting. I was informed that it is infact Fairy Dust that makes the mpc the king of the production world.

The process of audio getting digitized probably compresses it a little bit which might make it sound more "punchy."
