Zip Disk Click Fix

I just fixed another zip drive with this technique, keep this info handy yall.

ive yet to expeience this with my zips 'knocks on wood'... but im sure thinfo will come handy one of these days...

Yup, it can't fix all broken zips, but when it starts clicking and not reading, pop it open and do this, it will help alot.

Hmmm do I dare try this on an old bosted SCSI ZIP drive I got in the loft going on my 3.10 SCSI upgrade track record :lol:

I could do with a spare SCSI Zip. Are the symptoms are it just clicks and sometimes won't even eject the disk cos thats what I got?

I just remembered I've got a working parallel ZIP drive as well in a cupboard so I should be able to start backing my ish up on to my PC...Hmmm I need to ask a question the 2K forum...
