I've never had money...And I'm not motivated by it. I was on food stamps as a kid and lived in the projects as a teenager. So again, you don't know who I am. What I do know is you're a sellout. Look man, there is more than one music or culture considered Hip-Hop. You got backpackers and gangsters and jiggy Hip-Pop etc. Here is the difference: Gangsta rap is false...it makes the life of crime look glamorous. Hip-pop is false; its elements consist of money, bling, cars and hoes. How can the average kid live this life? Underground Hip-Hop has 4 elements: Breaking, Emcee, D-jay, and Graffiti. This is what I had growing up...it didn't cost me much money and I love it. You need to read some hip-hop history. Listen to some Old Skool Hip-Hop. Understand the roots of the culture. Then figure out how you can contribute to that, instead of destructing it. Watch the movie Brown Sugar, it shows how you gimmicky rappers are fu-king up what we love.
Destruction to answer your question: If you make music cause you love it, it's def cool to select what the crowd might like.
