It will help if you answer this:

what do you want-
1. duration of sample gets shorter AND pitch goes up

or

2. pitch goes up but sample stays same length.

The answer is different depending. And if you want 1, you can do that straight on the MPC by just changing sample tuning.

pitch it up to change pitch, use time stretch to change tempo WITHOUT changing pitch. not sure what is used to change pitch in sound forge let me check...go to effects pitch then bend...then hit reset then put both sides up the same ammount and wal lah pitched up. u can pitch up then timestretch also. i was actually at your soundclick site ealier and i saw u use fl studio and time stretch is easy in there but only if your doing the beat in there. and on the mpc 1000 go to program and then pitch up form liek 2 to 6 or more if u want it high pitched brah, since i heard your soul samples sped up on there :D .

use pitch shift, next one down in the menu, you don't need to use envelope then, just specify semitones up or down for whole sample
