DOes your reel have four inputs? If not how do you record four seperate tracks, as far as syncing them up with protools. What I want is a reel that allows four seperate tracks so I can have L/R vocals, L/R beat. How can you sync protools to record seperate tracks if there are only two inputs, reel with midi?
Is your reel 2" tape? I see they have reel tapes @...

thanx again for replies!
I'm looking to purchase reel to reel but there are so many so I'm trying to figure what I want but I want it to be professional quality. Figure I can get a 80's pro reel for pretty cheap. I've been looking at Akai reels on ebay that are from $300-$700 but not sure if they are good enough?

naw it's a half inch tape or one inch, you record four track by switchin L/R
there's two inputs only, no midi so you can't really sync, you just have to wing it. thats why i use it as an archiver.
