adding cuts and scratchs

I want to add some scratchs and cuts to this song, since I don't have the acappela, how can I eq' or filter so tha the voice sticks out more than the instruments?

I'd say turn the bass down ALL the way, and leave the treble in the middle, or turn it down slightly.
If you turn the treble up, you're gonna automatically boost the hihats and stuff, which you probably don't want.
Vocals live mostly right up the middle of the frequency spectrum.

Turning down the mid and highs while boosting the trim can also prove effetive depending freq spectrum of the source material
