Stereo Samples? (this is not a stereo vs. mono thread!)

Ok I want to try and sample in stereo on the S1000. This is what happened.... I made a new sample called Sample 14. Sample 14 already had stuff on it but I was trying to just record over the sample that was already there. Anyways I setup all my stuff so I could sample in stereo. The thing is when I sampled a loop it made two new samples called sample 14 -L and Sample 14 -R. These two new samples are supposed to be the left and right sides of my stereo sample right? Is there anyway I can make it not split up the both sides like that? If not how do I make both of these play at the same time?

Also is there any reason most of the bass comes out of the right speaker and everything else comes out the left or are my speakers messed up? What I did was I turned off my left tspeaker and then played a track. The track sounded like a low pass filter was dropped on top off it. Why is this?

how old is the sample- could be they dop come out those sides...i had a tune called mephis sould stew which had bass hard panned- meant you could sample that side and just have the bass

dunno what you mean- i was referring to the bass being out of only one speaker- wont bother next time....

No.What I was trying to say was that if you were to load up a completely finished beat and turn off the left speaker. Why does the right speaker sound like theres a low pass filter on top of it? I checked the back of my monitor to I don't have the highs muted or anything.
