Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

im trying to buy external zip for comp to transfer files to 2000xl
some drives are sold without software
do i need software i have windows xp
wanted to make sure before purchase
oh
can i use the same drive that i use for my mpc and buy different connection ==parrallel port or whatever

You could swithch the same drive back and forth, but I wouldn't recommend it.. Those things dies quick enough without changing operating environments on a regular basis.

I got a USB Zip drive outta someone's trash and I didn't need any software ( I run XP home, currently). Just plugged in the USB and windows found the appropriate driver.

i dont think you need software for that with windows xp. i have a USB zip drive for my computer and anything I plug into my computer using the USB port, the computer recognizes the device automatically. so your computer should recognize the drive when you plug it in

Yep... a USB Zip Drive would be your best bet.

Oh, and you can get bus powered ones, so you don't need to plug it into the wall, the USB supplies the power, too

wait one last thing does widowdows xp read all connections without software like usb connection
i have an extra drive same as mpc joint that doesnt have usb connection
can i just buy right connection
if not i will just buy usb one
