Hey gang,
i've just started having issues with my *.all files. when i try to load the file, and scroll to a sequence i just made around seg 80-90, an error msg appears saying "Error at 261D:03FC". This is not always that exact error but consistantly similar errors occur. the mpc then goes into a debug mode and never returns.. none of the information is retrievable.
my *.all file is about 634k so i am not sure that has much to do with it but perhaps... i've even tried just loading the specific sequence from that all file but the same errors appear when i import it into a blank sequence. when i try to play the sequence some do not move from position 1.01.01 while others play from weird position numbers like 978.985.451.
normally i would expect a likely response like "you should have saved your work more often" but that is not the case here. i made two separate copies on my hd at different stages in the loops development and both had the same error in the same spot when i tried to load them again today. i've tried reseating my ram and removed components until all that was left was my 2mb of ram.. nothing works… i even tried updating the OS to v1.20 (which was a hole mess to reverse) to see if it would make a difference. as you can tell i feel a serious loss and would certainly desire to retrieve my data again. i don't know what else to do.. i was hoping that someone would share their similar experience to serve as a remedy to my affliction.
regards,
