hi people,i've had the mpc 2000 for about a year now and i can't get my head around how to use the swing function, been at it for ages,loads of people told me many things about how to use it but nothing seems to work any help would be a appreciated.......

When you do a and it's somewhat finished, on the MAIN SCREEN highlight TIMING and hit OPEN WINDOW. You should be able to adjust swing on any/all of the pads here. Look around in there and you will see how to select the pad or all pads and the amount of swing to be imposed and whether you want later or earlier timing. When you find what you want hit DO IT and go back into your sequence and play it to the hear the difference. I use it sometimes on hats and percussion.

thanks lampdog, do you know what kinda settings you would use over a hip hop beat, i tryed what you said but don't know what kind of settings to use

You gotta experiment and see what swings good to
you, did you hear a big difference when you did it?
