I think 60's having their panel big and aimed to lean on had a lot f people hitting it with rings and stuff more so than rack gear.

I've seen some dogged out 60's for sure.

Also is there a way to change the pad sensitivity? If there is give me a page in the manual cause I thought I looked through the whole thing for something on it but maybe I missed something.

why, what is happening?

Is it the button cover or the switch underneath? if the cover is loose but the button still works you'll have to ask VST or Forat for the covers, if it's that the button doesn't register than you need the tact switch replaced.

The button is registering. It works and everything. I'm about take a picture so you can really see. Give me a few minutes.

Can I fix that by myself with having to do soldering and whatnot? I knew it looked funny but I thought he had just got that button replaced with the wrong button.

No, that button and the ones to the right of it are all on one plastic frame, the end button obviously snapped off and the person put it back upsidedown. You could do a couple of things, order the whole strip of the locate buttons from VST or Forat iof they have them, or you can try to fix it yourself by gluing it, but you'll have to be very carefull because just to get to it you have to take the button PCB out then take the button strip out and see if you can glue the broken button back on in a way that will keep it more solid.

Or you can just live with it, that isn;t a button you have to hit all the time, so if it's working as it is it will just be a minor annoyance, its not like it's your play or record button.

Yo, you should clean that thing, it's filthy, but it looks like it'll clean up nice.

Thanks. I'm gonna live with it for a while. I just did a practice beat on the 60 and didn't use it all that much. I'm gonna see if we have some 409 so I can clean it. Also is there a way I can change the pad sensitivity?

not globally, but what is going on? Are you double triggering? do you have to hit the pads hard to get full level?

No. what is happening is I am getting double triggers. The pads are so sensitive that I'm not really hitting the pads I just barely touch them while on full velocity and I get a sound. This is weird for me because I am used to hitting pads not touching them. I know you might say "just turn full level off" but when i do that they aren't sensitive enough. I guess its something I just have to get used to right?

Practice with full level off, you shouldn;t need to hit them hard to get full volume. Go to step edit nd practice hitting the same pad and watch the velocity. The double trigger is all down to technique, after a few days you'll be straight and you'll love the sensativity.

I opened up my eps 16+ i bought a few weeks back and it had a dust ball the size of a golf ball, plus all the buttons were loose, and the down cursor kept actin up

just removed the PCBs and wiped em clean, carefully made sure all the buttons were in tight

= problem solved

Yeah I'm gonna open it up and clean it out today. The screws on my left panel are screwed in to tight for me to use my screwdriver. I'll have to wait for my neighbor to get home he has power tools.
