Straight from Vinyl.

I just wanted to know who here get all there sounds straight from vinyl and never used and type of sound disks or downloaded sounds off the internet. I just got my 60 so with my fresh start and everything I'm gonna try and sample all my sounds from vinyl from now on. Before I used to download stuff of my computer or use premade disks along with sampling from records.

well i use all my lead samples and bass from wax, but drums i use sample cds, shit from the net, mp3s, and vinyl. I just make a folder on my pc with all drum loops and work out of that. So if i hear a dope break on wax i just sample it and save it to work with later for the right track. But everything else is off vinyl.

95% vinyl.

only the drums come from the net, but lately i'm
chopping up more and more breaks from vinyl for drumhits.

I've been finding that good drum breaks are really rare. I find instrument breaks all the time. The hardest thing to find on records are kicks. I find alot of snares and maybe a couple of hats at the beginning of some lps but I can't ever find some kicks.

i used to use floppys that came with my mpc but in the lastyear i've been using strickly vinyl.

it's all in daloop.

Yup...kicks are indeed everywhere...My joy of searches are found in the quest for SNARES...

90% from vinly, 10% from cds, old cassettes or whatever else i can take sound off. used a speak and spell once, record and sample shakers, bongos sometimes..

Sample what ever and from where ever you want. There are no rules or limits. Sampling means recording audio...so do that.

Everything comes from vinyl for me. I don't have anything against sampling other stuff, but vinyl is all I have.
