Static Noise

I get a static/white noise when I adjust the stereo mix volume knob, is this normal? It's not really a big deal because once it is stopped on a level it goes away, just wondering what it could be.

Probably a dirty pot. Go to Radio Shack and get some potentiometer / contact cleaner and clean it. If that does not work you c an replace the pot.

Yup...its normal dude! Dirt & dust have an uncanny knack for finding their way into even the smallest crevices!!!

Like Mike D sed...get some contact cleaner & give the Pots a good bath!!!

aight, I was just hopin to save a measly 3 bucks by using what I already got, guess I can't use Caig Industries 5% spray lube then huh?

I have the same problem with mine I actually think its something like a loose solder in the mpc, I'm having a tech look at it on Tuesday.

I use headphones on my mk. 2 and when I load sounds I get like a disk loading noise in the headphones. It does it on speakers/monitors too, seems to stop once sound has loaded so I suppose not really an issue...

anyone else have this problem?

Average man, that is normal, just ignore it.

I wouldn't spray anything into it yet, just excersize the knob back and forth a lot and you should hear it get better. once you spray something in there is flushes the original lube and changes the feel of the pot. So move it round a bunch and see if it gets better, if you see no improvement, spray a little tuner cleaner (VERY LITtLE) and work it back and forth, then spray little CAiG CAILUBE MCl, (VERY LITTLE!!) and work it back and forth, that should silence it. But only as a last resort.
