Anyone Use Triton Le with MPC2k? 2 month problem!!

I have tried every configuration to get my mpc to control the le. the le is in seq mode with the midi channel matching the mpc channel.

i play the le into the mpc then go to playback ....no sound from the le it appears as if the le has not recorded into the mpc.

anyone with this set up...what settings do you use??

Well I rock with a karma which is made by Korg too, and I got a 2000 too.
I think your problem is with your Midi cords if you aren't getting ANY sounds.
Make sure its set to MIDI 1A, and set up a speaker or whatever you got for sounds. On my Karma, I just use a computer speaker right now, since I don't got a mixer board yet. But yeah, its probably all about the cords, verify it and go from there. Good luck.

Yeah I use my Karma (triton- sampler=le) with the 2000. it should work no problem sequencer mode. It seems as though the mpc is not getting the signal. On the mpc put your cursor on the spot where it says Drum1 or Midi . Hit your open window button and then select monitor. Now you can see which channels are recieving the midi from your le. If nothing shows up make sure your midi filter is not on. Same screen where you had to press monitor. You should see some type of midi input even when the le is in prog mode. Ok so midi filter is off.

i got the mpc to 'record' from the triton and playback ok (sound from prog. in seq mode.) when i copy a sound from combi mode I cant get any midi signal from the triton to my mpc or any sound to record.

combi mode may change the midi channel.

A sequencer is essencially a device that records and plays back midi information. If you want your MPC and keyboard to communicate with each other you're gonna have to be in this mode.

Combi Mode is a function of your keyboard and doesn't send midi information. If you want to trigger your combi sounds on your MPC your best bet is probably to just straight up sample them into your MPC, assign them to a pad and bang away.

To use the combos envolves a little more. Combo mode uses a global channel, which is not sent out to the mpc. The easiest way is to copy the combo into the sequencer.(make sure you copy the effects too). Assign each of the instruments that are actually playing to the same midi channel , not all the instruments are playing in most of the combos. So if for example, you had strings on sequence channel 1 and piano on sequence channel 2, you will want to assign them both to midi channel 1. Make sure when you play you are on midi channel 1. That should work , thats how i do it. Good Luck.
