mpc 3000 pad velctity

hi, i'm emanuel i'm new to this forum. i am a a tech house producer from berlin and i use either the mpc3000 or 2000xp for my tracks.
the pads of my mpc3000 have been replaced a while ago and since then i have a much harder velocity curve than before. do you know if there is a way to change the the general velocity settings?

I don't think so, but the stock 3000 pads need more force than a 60 or 2000 to get to full velocity. If you want full level, turn full level on. Or change the pads back, or ask the person or company that sold / replaced the pads for you.

I noticed that too about my 3000's pads.. Rich at Forat says that all the mpcs (60, 2000, 3000) use the same pads, but I definitely feel I have to hit my pads harder to get close to full velocity than I do on a 2000. I just turn the main volume up and do it that way. I really don't ever use the full level option..

thats funny Bruce at Forat said the bouncy pads make the 3000 pads feel more like the 60 pads. im getting mine replaced on my next trip to LA.

If I want to hit the pads to full level I'd probably end up with a very special, one of a kind, mpc3000 flat limited. So I usually work with the full level option turned on.

On the mpc2000xl I wouldn't have to hit that hard on the pads, for sure.

There is certainly a difference between the response of the MPC2000 and the MPC3000, but this does not have to do with the physical rubber of the pads since they both use the same stock pad assemblies. I imagine there is a velocity repsonce curve hard coded into the OS. I will verifiy this tonight.

I am waiting to hear back from THE MPC3K EXPERT (there are people that know a LOT more than I ever will about the MPC3000).
