Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I hooked up my SCSI ZIP to my MPC 2000XL and at first it was cool than I started getting a "ID Conflict 6" or something like that so I looked in the manual and it stated that the ZIP had to be on anything but ID 6 so I switched it to ID 5. Now the MPC is saying there is "no scsi device" WTF, I was reading the FAQs did I blow my SCSI fuse? How could it blow from that, if it did it sure does'nt take much. Someone help please.

Make sure it's switched to terminated and reformat. And yes ID 5 is what I've always had mine set to. If that doesn't work, unplug and replug your scsi connection then format the drive again. If this doesn't work I couldn't tell you what the problem is. Hope this helps.

mine only works on 5 as well. sometimes it "dies" & i have to unplug the zip drive & plug it back in & its recognized again.
