MPC 2000xl MCD to Triton studio

yea i recently just bought a dual midi cable and was wonderin how i can hook up my mpc and my triton with it. I tried putting the midi out into the keyboard and midi in into the triton but the speakers would not play ne thing. any help would be appreciated

how are the mpc and the triton connected to the speakers ?

midi is data not sound. so if you want to hear the sounds of your mpc then you will need to put the triton and the mpc into a mixer and connect the mixer to the speakers.

dude u need a mixer a small format mixer with only 4 inputs will work. you can send the master out of the mixer into the speakers.. otherwise you won't be able to hear the mpc .. midi is electronic note info NOT audio.. audio only comes out of the outputs of each instrument.. get 1/4 in cables and input them into a cheap behringer mixer ..u can get them for like $50. You'll need 3 PAIRS of audio TRS cables to achieve this. hope this helps.
