how and what do you use to store-save sample samples?

what device is used via the scic? where to buy ect,,,ect

alot of people use "zip's" by "iomega", but lately the cardreader is verry popular. or you can use a harddrive. use search to find compatible models for HD and cardreaders. as far as zip goes, ma shure its a scsi and not a parallel one, if it has a termination switch and an ID switch its a scsi. look at ebay or computer stores.

I use zips and floppys. You should always have to storage places. One for main storage and the other for backup.

was having the same problem, I was saving small samples and drum hits on floppy's but I got a zip drive on its way, I'll keep my eye open for a decently priced hard drive too

zip 99%of the time flopies to trasfer sounds from my pc to my mpc,
but i like the idea of a HD can you use an external 160GB HD

You mean to transfer files? Like by unhooking the HD from the MPC and hooking it up to the PC, then bringing it back to the MPC? Sure you could but I don't recomend it. Changing a device from different OS's back and forth is a recipe for device failure. Thats why the card reader is ever-so-popular these days.

no just for storage youll never run outa space with one of those.

Problem is, a 2000Xl can't use a hard drive that big. Peep it:
