auto chromatic tuning/manual setting

Looking for a good blueprint or format for a tight layout. What I'd like to do is program each pad manually. The auto chromatic tuning doesn't really come out the way I think it should or as good as I think it could. I could be doing something wrong as far as the tuning. Anybody have some knowledge to share? Anyone else wondering the same thing?

Mpc3000 has a blue print of the way the pads are assigned on his website. You can set the pads up how you like and save it as .pgm and that works really cool when playing other instruments. don't know if that will help with auto chromatic . Let us know what happens. Holla
