Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

My recently purchased mpc200xl came with the 8 output expansion board installed and what seems digital I/O. What puzzles me is that the digital I/O comes via 1/4'' jacks instead of the expected RCA connectors ? Is this normal ? Or should I contact my vendor to see what's going on. Has anyone else noticed this on their mpc2000xl? If so what kind of cable do i use for digital I/O.

Thanks for any information.

Ps: I did search in the forum before asking this question :-)

mine's the same - just a normal OFC cable with a jack at one end and RCA at the other should work just fine

It's a board not actually made by Akai - it's made by Mutec and features the more 'pro' AES digital ins/outs. Works fine.

Thanx a lot guys. I was always used to digital io on rca jacks hence my worries. Thanks again for helping this mpc-beginner out.
