is there a way i can control ableton live with mympc and maybe hitting record and play so the program syncs with the mpc. any help appreciated
yes there are many different ways
connect mpc midi out A to your computer midi in
set ableton to 'external sync on'
you might have to press play 1st in ableton
when you start the mpc sequence, ableton will start too
adjust settings for midi and audio latency in ableton
use midi map mode in ableton and u can use mpc pads to start ableton clips...
