for samplers only

yo i have a qeston im not that good with sampleing i really don`t use samples but im start to but everytime i loop the first bar is in sync but when it pass that my drums go off the loop what am i doing wrong is it the timeing im in im in 4/4time or is it the way i quantize?

its probably the drummer from the song you sampled whos off time...human drummers dont keep time like a drum machine and are usually a little all over the place with their timing...try sampling individual drum hits.

nah man i don`t sample drums im talking like say im doing a track like some just blaz kinda stuff with a sample in i got the backbeat going and i drop the drums why do it sound off after 4bars it go out of sync i heard you guys be 4 talking about 1/8 time or something with sample and yes i am looping every thing right i am chopiing with cool edit so im good but it goes off beat after 4bars?

That sounds like what happens when your loop is not quite right on the beat, but if it is off a little it would take more the 4 bars to notice.Or the loop has a different tempo than your sequence. That's all I can think of. Peace.

yeah.. its important to find the bpm of the loop......


go into loop section.. highlight the whole loop... turn the loop on... then go into params... enter.... the correct number of bars for the loop....

bam... the bpm is on the bottom right...

go ahead and turn off your loop mode.... put in the correct bpm on your sequencer... and your shit should fit smoothly....
