Thanks for the input, it was appreciated greatly.... Unfortunantly.... I have MORE QUESTIONS!!!

1st) I sampled about 10 seconds of audio into the MPC.... I used it in one of my sequences.... and i wanted to chop it up and only use a certain part of it in my 2nd sequence... After I edited the sample.... the one from the first one also changed.... Is there anyway to maybe like copy the sample or something so that I can edit it, use the sample in the first sequence, edit it again, and use it in the second sequence?

2nd) Also, after i sampled and did my track, I tried to save it.......... but it was too big to save i'm assuming, can someone go through the process with me on exactly how to save everything including the sample so that I can load it back up and everything will be spiffy clean?

sup man...yeah, when your in the trim screen at the top is the sample name, if you highlight it and press open window it will give you a couple of options, copy being one of em'...as for your saving problems, im assuming your saving onto the floppys. I have a zip drive installed in mine and can save mad shitt at lightning speed so thats somethin you could look into. pz

oh, and how I save stuff I usually save the sequence(s) 1st than save all programs and sounds...that should do it.

I tried an answer at this question on your other thread. There really was no reason to create a new thread for a question you had already posed in another thread that people were already responding to.

Let's keep the clutter to a minimum. :D

a. make a copy of the sound so you can use that copy in seq2.
b. chop up the sample to exactly what you need.
That will make it as small a size as possible.

Check your cables, check your settings in mixer. Check your cables again. Check your samples and make sure they are stereo samples. Check everything you can think of that will make ANY sound mono. Even think of off the wall stuff and that might be it.. Try not to think to deep though cause sometimes the answer is right in front of you and you can't see it because your trying to be a rocket scientist..

if you are using floppies, it will ask you to insert another disk when the previous one runs out of space. then when you load it back up, it will ask you to insert the disk with the saved stuff on it if the mpc can't find it. i usually just "save all programs and sounds" and "save all songs and sequences" when working on one particular beat.

this is truly a pain in the ass though. i'm hoping to switch to zips soon, like the rest of the mpc world.

You sure you've got TWO cables running from the L and R outs to TWO inputs on your mixer/amp/monitors or whatever else you're sending it to?
