this is the vatican city, so i've called it...i'm moving it all into a dorm room on saturday.

Ant...I notice the third turntable, the numark, and the other mixer on the mini stereo. Are you using that just for sampling and the other set for mixing and whatnot? Just wondering cause I got my Turntables set up for different duties. I got one with a wack needle so that's the one I scratch on and do my sound finding on, and the other has a dope needle and cartridge and I use it just to listen and sample.

Setting your monitors on their sides like this can cause
phasing issues.

Really I didn't know that. How come alot of professional studio position their monitors in the same. I'm just wondering. but on another note here are the newer pics

I've seen it in a lot of studio pictures too, but I have a diagram that explains it. I'll scan it and upload it.

yo Ant eventually the polarity in those monitors are going to kill those comp monitors.

could you/somebody elaborate for me?

would the same problem happen with flatscreens?

2nd question - ONE - my other turntable is for playing records. the two on the table are used for serato scratch live.

I was at a speaker store the other day where they said the problem doesn't happen with flatscreen (lcd). I think with CRT monitors the issue is that the magnetic field from the speaker actually bends the beam of electrons as it travels toward the screen, flatscreens don't use a beam like that.
