most of shadow's stuff is done on mpc 60/3000. while rjd2 uses a 2k.

that is the most silly statement I ever heared  lol .... mpc or not... music is music is music! f*ck man .... mpc2k vs mpc3k hahaaaa, you re funny as (....)
give shadow a 2k and he makes the same sh*t... give rjd2 a 60 and he will make nice sh*t too

Samurai, you really are a die hard mpc fan hej ;)

if i wanna compare them ill do that. you know, everybody i speak to about rjd2 says he is a lot like shadow, people dont know shadow was the teacher, but people just compare them cause they are much a like. I mean its hard to compare shadow with another artist because he is one of a kind. tho RJD2 is in the same league, the same genre, even uses the same hardware
i donno but thats my opinion. and what the f*ck if I like RJD2 more, thats my taste. I like Shadow a lot, it was my favorite producer when Endtroducing came out. He has lots of sh*tty tracks too. Shadow is not all that, rjd2 is better 8) [PERIOD]

there is a lot of difference between 60 and 2k.
dj shadow had to juggle hundreds of diskettes while using his 60, which affects the musical outcome, while rjd2 had the luxury of ZIP disks etc.

aw ye ok but thats a minor thingie... I dont think it really affects the msuic that they make
btw, I searched the forum and other people too think RJ is a lot like shadow, so im not the only one inhere.. Maybe we listen different to the music.. Maybe its a matter of interpretation

I mean, shadow made Entdroducing on a 60 and a DAT tracker. He did Preemphive strike on a 3k (Or am I wrong?). Do you hear the difference? I dont... In/flux was his first track made on the 60 and its on the 3k album.

ok, you can recognize RJD2 if you here em. They are not the same indeed. but very much alike simply because there is no other artist wich u can compare with the shadow. he is one of a kind, together with rjd2... I tthink

of course they are similar, but what i am saying is that it is unfair to compare them.
