I am racking my brain to figure out how to configure my MPC 1000 to use as the master device with the Motif 6 as the slave. I can get the 2 to at least sync as far as beat and tempo go, but that's about it. I am trying to get the motif to respond to program and pattern changes via the MPC...is this somehow possible? :( :?

porogram change messages are in step edit
mode:step edit
press F5
type:program change
If you must select from different banks of sounds, control change messages must be sent too.
I looked in the motif es manual and it's in the appendix(midi messages transmitted and recognized).

If you have trouble setting it up with program changes i can help.

I got the MPC & Motif 7 working with everything in my studio from Cubase to Reason 3.0

And actually i can configure it without even needing to do program changes for the patches / voices.

Holla at me on AIM damusicman504 if you need a play by play how to.

I just wanted to thank everyone for all the input. It really put me on the right path and for the past week, during every spare moment, I been a beat-making, track writing fool. This shyt is like crack....I almost can't sleep! Now all I gotta do is polish up what I got and maybe I can put a little change in my pocket by selling beats. Thanks again for your help!
