samplin question

hi im a noobie at dis..

i jus got mpc2000xl

can anybody tell me how to sample from a cd player?

get the right cables hook up to your MPC record In jacks... hold shift and press sample (#4).. the screen that displays is pretty much self explanatory from there. I think most these guys prolly woulda said look in the manual haha. No problem tho... but of course youe gonna find your more in depth explanation bout how to manipulate all your sampled stuff in the manual. GET A MEMORY UPGRADE too! theres barely any sampling time on a stock MPC2000xl much to my dissappointment

im sorry but wut kinda cable do i hav to use?

jus standard midi cable?

if it is how can i hook up a midi cable to a regular cd player???

You need a 1/8 inch to dual 1/4 inch Y-cable.

Audio cable, not midi cable. Midi cables don't carry audio signals.
