rewire

hey was wondering why i can't use rewire in reason 3.0... it's there, but i can't click on it, like it aint highlighted to be able to click on...

i'm trying to throw individual tracks from reason into cubase... both programs are on the same computer... i feel like it should be easy, but i'm new to reason and really am creeping along trying to figure things out...

any help would be appreciated...

open Cubase, then open Reason. activate the rewire tracks in Cubase (from the options menu i think) and you should be straight.

havent used Cubase in ages but i think thats how its done..

Is there anyway to record the rewire tracks in Cubase? Now I gotta bounce every track from reason and import into cubase, rewire seems a bit useless to me now...

You should be able to do a track dump of the reason tracks in the same way you do it with vst instruments.

The nice thing with rewire is that you can control all your instruments from your main sequencer of choice. For example, I used to run reason 2.0 rewired to cubase, but keep all midi tracks in cubase.

yo since we on the rewire topic , I cant seem to get the midi to let me trigger sounds on Fruity loops when I open it on Protools. I mean I do it the same way you would with any instrument on the plugin section on the protools track. when I got all my tracks set ( midi, aux, stereo audio) I hit the keys on my midi controller and you see the keys being hit on the fruity loops instrument BUT there is no sound coming in my protools tracks. Only sound I get is when I hit the instruments on fruity loops is when I hit the keys with the mouse. What da heck is this about?????????
