I actually found this record yesterday. Copped it for $8. Theres some classics on this one...James Brown - Funky Drummer.


But I was wondering how the sound quality of these Comps are compared to the original record. Because they record the break from the original record onto another record. There's gotta be some sound quality lost in the transfer, right??

theres your answer you cant compare the two the original press is way better sounding ,but these will do cause try to find the original and pay 8 bucks for it good luck

tha sound on UBB's are pretty damn close tho!!

i think there the best sounding comp out, beside's K-tel's comps!

i always pick up K-tel's you can't go wrong

no offense man, but I would jus go and dig on my own. it helps in the begning ask ask ppl to find out the most popular genres and sometimes people will give good names and bands, but at the end of the day, I’d never give a good sample up before I use it and its out in distribution. Could careless if someone else already used it and I don’t know, at least I never gave them that song.

Example of why, I told this guy from high school when I first comp my MPC, I was like yo, I got this record from Linda Jones- I who Have Nothing. Monster song, mad emotion, horns, a lot of potential, **** chump already download what he thought was the song and sampled the shit in his **** fruity loops. I wanted to stomp his ass, but he downloaded some white dudes country version, so it was whack, and I just never said a word.

Haven’t spoken to the guy since, with his fruity little ass.
