Planet Rock wasn't actually sampled from Trans Europe Express. It was copied. Although a Fairlight sampler was used on that record for the orchestral stabs I doubt even a monster machine like that had enough memory for such a long sample back when that was made. The beats are an 808.

Another great cover version of Trans Europe Express was "Trouble Funk Express" by Trouble Funk

Sounds crazy but they're it!! The ones that set the whole thing in motion production wise. I just bought another one of their albums and the whole thing is listening material.

You can toss that sh*t on and just chill, no real filler...even when they work the same melody in 2-3 different songs on the same album you just can't hate on em!!! Don't know about yall, but I have a hard time fighting the urge to sample their sh*t sometimes, I just know it's been done too much so I *usually* stay away  ....

I was saving my 5000th post for something special. But............

I read this and it got my blood stirring. I have ALWAYS loved kraftwek, I got all their music that I could ever find.

Kraftwerk was King indeed. I'm glad that so many others see that fact too.
