So I haven't been using my Pad2 for a while now because it always gets jammed and keeps going off. It's pretty annoying when it comes to using the mode button (it jumps straight to load) and when using the pads to name things. if i jiggle it about i can usually unjam it, but its pretty annoying. is there anything i can do to stop this altogether?

oh yeah, i have another problem, too. Bank C never records properly. I can play with it, but when it comes to recording some of the pads are messed up. the step edit doesnt show pad C1 but instead will be something like D5 or whatever. and i cant change it after either. scrolling through some pads simply dont show up.

I'm using OS 1.07 by the way

Call akai and get your RA number. If you've had the mpc for less than a year you should be covered for a warranty. Or at least thats what I've heard. I know somebody will correct me if I'm wrong.

Your right Grimay. I got my RA number this morning. My pad 2 works, but does't at the full velocity, unless I put the full level button. I called vst up, and they said get a RA number, and it will get fixed for free. As long as its been less than a year that you have had your mpc. So I will be driving to vst next friday to go hang out, grab some lunch, pick up my mpc, and be on my way home, and call it a day.

I have a bad feeling I've had it longer than a year :(

Does anyone know where I can actually check out the warranty?

Shit, just checked out the receipt and I bought the MPC on the 9th August 2004 - just over a year! ****. Hopefully they'll be nice about it.

Oh I'm in the UK, too. So I don't know if that'll make a difference?

Yeah... I registered my MPC yesterday on akaipro.com . Is that mean I got the warranty on it now? coz there was no warranty in the freakin box.

i would take off the top and see if the ribbon cables are all plugged in right. that is usally a big cause in pad failure. If your out of warrenty then open that fuker up.
