Anyway to get around the 32 MB MAX Ram on 2000XL MCD?

Is there anything I can do to get around or more other than the 32 MB Max Ram on the 2000XL MCD. Becuase, this is for sampling time correct? Which doesn't seem to be alot, so I was just wondering if I could maybe get around this. I am having a hard time in choosing a MPC 1000 or a MPC 2000XL MCD.. . And im leaning more towards the 1000 Because of the 128 MB... Rather than the more features on the 2000XL MCD.

But I don't understand how alot of people use the MPC 2000 XL with only 32 MB of sample time? I mean... there's not much you can do with that, so what is the method that other people use with their 2000XL?

That's just spoiled imho Look at the s950, that only has 2,25 mb ram maxed if I'm correct. In the 'old days' they made phat shit with that, so it's not about ram man

I rock a EPS 16+ with a memory expander (that has a whopping 1MB)

only 32MB

That gives you like 5 minutes of sampling time

I could have like 30 beats with all different loops loaded when i used a 2000xl

what cha tryin to do..........record an entire instramental and assign it to one pad???????

1. Your lost
2. Mismanaging your sample time.
3. Don't have the gear and/or have never sampled before.

Once something is maxed out it's max right?
What type of question is that?

I know a cat that uses nothin but samples and still only has 2mb's in his classic 2k

DUDE 32 MB is freakin huge, ive loadied up all types of shit (drums loops etc. and ive barley reached 8MB. What the hell do u plan on sampling man??? It kills me when newbs dont have a clue.....

Honestly, if you use your imagination and learn how to manage your samples sizes you will go far with your beats and not even get close to using the whole 32mb.

32 MB is lots. How is it not enough? What, are cats trying to use it as a recorder or something? Get a Hard disk recorder or a tape machine if you want to record whole schit like vocals. That's what dudes must be thinking of doing, cause I don't see how 32 MB is such a small amount.

The MPC ain't a friggin MP3 player either. Just in case cats are thinking it is. You never know....with that kinda thinking.

Yup, vocals are the only thing I can't use my MPC for. Other than that, my biggest sample is 6 megs, and its a long speech-type sample from a movie, and its in stereo.

I've heard songs with vocals done in a maxed out 2k classic.
I've SEEN it done. Not easy though. Managing Big samples like that in 32mb can stretch your creativity.
