Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I have a cd with sounds on it and i also ordered phatass beats from the mpc site....i'm having a problem getting them loaded onto the mpc....i have the phatass in zip form on the computer....so i extract the sounds from phatass and put them on my zip disk...and i do the same with the sounds from the cd....but when i put the zip in my mpc...it see's nothing...but one time i did it and all it showed on the disk was a bunch of weird numbers....does anyone know a simple way top make it so the mpc200xl see's what's on the zip disk....

any help is greatly appreciated.....

I am at a stand still now....

I also was having the static problem when i would hit the pads or adjust the volume....so i thought i had a couple of bad zips...so i deleted everything off of them and decided to start over.....i checked everything before i erased the zips to see if i could figure out why there was so much static....it turns out it was my good pair of headphones....my shitty pair worked just fine...arghhh

im wondering what format the sounds are in. also i dont think you should format the zips on pc or mpc if you plan on using the zip back and forth between the pc and mpc.

ive found it easier saving my sounds as wavs on a zip at the pc then moving over to the mpc and load up.

"How can i change the sounds from AU format to WAV format"

they are not in AU format. That is Miscroshaft's silly extension naming gone awry. If you uncheck that option "Hide Extensions of known filetypes" then you should be able to see that it has an extension (eg. snd).
