Hi all,

I have recently bought the "MPC2000 Production Tools" sample cd. This CD is in Akai format...

The problem is I cannot access the files on this CD (because it's an Akai Format), so I tried Chicken Sys Translator to solve my problem. I tried to translate the content to Akai MPC format (samples + .PGM files), as I have an MPC2000XL. Unfortunately the program refuses to translate the files (it says the files are corrupted)...

Actually, I don't have to translate any samples because I own an MPC2000XL. I just want to copy the content to my hard drive because I don't have a SCSI CDROM drive (I have a cardreader installed in my MPC and transfer samples from my computer to there). Maybe there is a way for translator to deal with this problem (import data or something like that?)

Since Translator didn't work, I installed CDXtract. This program does it job fine (which is translating the .SND samples on the cd to .WAV), but I cannot access the .PGM files... I would like to have these programs too and not only the samples.

Does anyone know a solution? Maybe I just have to buy a SCSI CD-ROM drive? Thanks in advance for the help.
