can they all be equiped with the same sounds?

yes, the emu keyboards are also being sold out cheap at musiciansfriend, I assume that this is bc they are gonna drop a whole new line of modules at the NAMM, and they wanna get rid of what they got now since nobody is gonna want them when the new ish drops.

I swear that is why Korg is having this blowout sale giving away the scsi interface and a module with 140 bux back with a triton. Id bet they are dropping a new high end deck and NAMM, thus the triton studio would become the mid level (and bump the triton classic to low or stop making it, more then likely stop making it since they are giving away the expanison board that I dont see often IE they have a lot of them sitting around that are gonna become semi useless since: the triton LE piano sounds rock).

the studio will drop in price to what the triton classic costs or close to it,(eg 61 key studio will drop from 2500 to closer to 2000) and the LE will drop to closer to 1000 to compete with the MPC 1000, then they will drop the new Korg deck and that will run you 3-4 grand.

I cant wait, cuz when it happens the price on 61 key triton classics will fall thru the floor on ebay, they go for 1200 max right now and that one better have the scsi or the moss expansion. After this the used ones will hit for 800-1000, and they will be in the same range as the ASR10, which is a toughie for me, the asr10 has nicer keys, a doper sounding samopler and nicer efx, but the triton has that cutting edge sound and better/easier sample editing integration into programs then the aSr does.
that will be sweet, I love namm, I wait to buy all the gear I been coveting right after namm when they start to blowout the gear that the stuff from NAMM is gonna drive prices down on.

EMU is probably dropping a new line, but i doubt people will stop wanting the Mo Phatt and Proteus sounds. People still pay good money for the Planet Phatt and other discontinued EMU modules. How does the ROM thing work in the sound module anyway. I own the Mo Phatt so how many ROMs can I install and how do I do it?

I dunno, I mean, peeps still use the proteus 2000, but it dont sell used for even close to what it costs new, around 50% is what I see it sell for.

50% off for a mo phatt is still a good deal, and better then now where they sell for 75% or so.
I think the rack series can install 2 more modules, and I think you can even take out the mo phatt module and swap another in its place to make the mo phatt not a mo phatt, installin it is akin to as difficult as installing ram.

With the Mo Phatt you have one extra expansion slot available. The Planet Phatt is non expandable, The proteus 2000 has two extra expansion slots, and the Proteus 2500 has 3 extra expansion slots aavailable for use. To sum it up any EMU/Ensoniq module that has the midi A and B Midi ins and outs has one extra expansion slot for each side (A and B). I spoke with customer service over at EMU and they assurred me that the Ensoniq Project Rom isn't a mix and match of the Planet Phatt and Mo Phatt presets. Rather it's just different keyboards synthe and etc; in the same genre so to speak. I'll let you know next week when I get around to picking it up and installing it. And do trust me the ZR 76 with the Coakley perfect Pianos is another must get! If you like the Planet Phatt and the Mo Phatt this is a rom you'll be glad you purchased.
