Ive just ordered a copy of logic to expand what I can do with my mpc. I havent done anything at all on a computer with music but have read that I need to buy a sound card for my laptop to improve the sound.
Ive also read I can hook up my mpc to my mac. Does this mean I can use my samplers sound card by running my computer through it or does my computer need its own?
I know virtually nothing about sound cards so dont understans where it is needed. Any links so i know what the score is with soundcards would be good too.

cheers

it of course depends on your laptop's current soundcard if you need a better one, but if you just have the basic shyt then i think you sholud get an external soundcard. do a google search or something, should find more info easily.

Well of course you are going to need a sound card. You have the choice of going USB, Firewire(must have firewire on your latop in order to use), or PCMCIA . You can see examples below. But get info from others before jumping on the items.
