Does a mixer effect the quality of samples for the 2000??

I was thinking about getting a new one but was wondering how much or if it would effect the quality of the samples? If so, what's a good mixer to get? (I have a gemini 676 right now)

Any device or gear that MPC audio passes through has the potential to change the quality.
