recording my beats

how is it possible to put a song i made on the mpc in a cd or into mp3 format?

Record with cubase or cooledit?

Record into PC with you program of choice, save as wav then burn to cd with the programs of your choice. For MP3 you would record into PC and save as MP3 or convert to MP3.

i got cool edit so i guess i'll be recording with that... but how exactly should i set my gear up? do i hook up the rca cables on my MPC's outs and put the other end on the microphone socket for the computer?

you dont plug it into the mic socket....you plug it into the Line In socket

External cd recorder

You know, I got an external cd recorder for only $120, and it works perfect. I just run all my outs to a mixer, a few processors, and then directly to my cd recorder. I chose this method mainly because I am a hardware person, but it is kinda nice because you dont have to lug a computer around. If you ever take your mpc to other location, or made do live performances, I would highly recomend this method.
