Man serious invest in a ZIP for your mac. This is a must, I have the same thing (G3 Lap top) and I back my files up on the CPU and on CD. Never know when you are going to need one of those old beats or sounds.

Very true, I tweak many of my old sounds and breathe life back into em.
I got a library of MAD sounds, like around 18 CD's now and all my current favorites on CDRW so I can update whenever I like and save/burn/reburn.

Apparently with the floppy they think somethings prob got damaged when ive put a disk in and it's scratching the disks but it doesnt seem to effect the start up disk? (random problem but i guess im lucky i can still power up, I'll wait a while until I pay £100 for a replacement)
If I get a USB zip for my mac will it read my MPC disks and allow me to burn the info onto a c.d? I use other samplers for my sounds so it's only the arrangements I need to back up onto a c.d although it would be good to back up my Emu's aswell if the mac would allow it.
Word.
