mpc as master

i am probably asking this question bout the 5th time. is there some way of actually exporting a 4 bar looped sequeced from cubase as a wav file, then importing on the 2kxl. reason being i aint got no modules, only soft syntjs in cubase, and i want to take the 2kxl to the studio with the choruses stored on zip. and dump them to 24 track tape, so i would basicsally being using the 2kxl as master.

Save the file as WAV. Using a wav editor (I use sound forge) you can set the loop points to where you want them and playback and listen until it's perfect. Save, then transfer to MPC. When I play it back in my MPC it's fine. The MPC can read the loop points and it will play it back fine.

so do you have soundforge running the same time as cubase and record it that ?

Not sure about Cubase, but on ProTools there is a function called "Bounce To Disk" which basically will mix down your multi track internally - and you can set it to save as a .wav file.
You can select a time/bar range to bounce, so you don't have to mix/bounce the whole song, you can just bounce the 4 bars you want.


I'm sure there is some way to mix down internally in Cubase where you'll end up with a wav file.

So you did all your work in cubase and now you want to export the entire thing to the MPC and take that to the studio?

Why don't you just send the entire Cubase Arrangement as it is now to the studio and save yourself a lot of headache? I know they can open it and play it just like see on your PC.
