The differences between mpc 60 -3000 and today's 2000 or 100

Now I understand that the mpc 60 and 60 mk2 and the mpc 3000 were designed with the help of roger linn. Now, i'm looking to buy an mpc, I would very much like if someone could tell me very detailed and specific differences bewtween the machines now and then and now and what is the best to buy overall. Not including the obvious things but the little details.

use the search. this exact same question has been asked a hundred times. if you want opinions thats one thing but do your own homework..

i say get the 60 if you allready can sample get the 3k if you need the filters, get the 1k if you want to integrate your computer, get the 2k if you want newer functions w/o pc, get the 4k if you want to spend much$$ and time learning it as you first mpc..

Alright, I think you were a a bit harsh on me. heh but well thanks, though those links pretty much cleared everything up. I just wanted to know if there was an actual difference in the machine like that certain "feel" people talk about. That's all. I guess it's only speculative. That was the one peice of information I was really after. Since that is done with. The mpc 1k looks like what I would want. I'm def going to use it with my computer...but I kinda want the bigger pads so maybe I should get a 2000. Another idea was the 1000 with the mpd midi pads so i'd have the full pads... might save me a few hundred also. What do you folks think about those 2 setups?

the pads on the 1k have a better feeling than than those other cheap things. Dont' mind the smaller pads, They are great.

The mpc2000XL has great pads to. Damn B u love dat MPC1000 alot now.

What I don't understand is why someone would buy an mpc 60 or 3000 considering how old they are and they aren't much cheaper. I mean on ebay they run not much less than a grand. so wtf search that.

Matter of fact just cuz that one cat was talking garbage...I did do a search and the info I was specifically looking for is nowhere to be found. Just a huge **** mess. so, you expect someone here to take the time to type out all the information on the mpcs to your very general question? and then when they deny you you get righteous? it would take you five minutes to find this out on this site, seraching. or, heaven forbid, use google. its ok to ask the question if you cant find the answer by seraching, but then dont get mad when others dont answer. simply thank those who do.


and being as im acutally not helping so far, ill try to help otu a bit. though honestly, all i own is the 1k, so i dont know that much about any other mpcs.
