Syncing acapella to beats

Yo i wanna sync some acapella's to my beats - what is the best programme {what do y'all use for it?}??

Acid Pro SUCKS IMO, it cant time sync the vocals properly, and i cant detect the BPM of the acapellas either, leaving me in a difficult situation

Celemony melodyne is pretty acurate getting a bpm from an accapella. it's a bit expensive, but i think they have a cheap version now too.

I generally use two ears and two hands and maybe some treefus for added flavor

treefus.....jaem, you're a freeking comedian.

a good mixing program like pro-tools or cubase is a good start but not a nessiatitiy. the most important thing is to use your ears and make sure u choose the right acapalla with the right beat....

i use adobe audition to do everything.

a lot of times if I cant get the tempo exactly right, ill copy every few bars and paste them onto the beat that way...takes a little longer, but it comes out pretty good.

you have to have rythm..............you have to blend them no computer is going to blend them...

Any computer running ableton live can blend them.

I realise no computer will perfectly blend vocals and beats, but a little help would be nice.

but you have to still blend them... you just cant throw vocals in a computer and throw a track in a computer and expect the computer to say ok... let me sync these.. you have to aline the vocals with the track...... unless they have some program out .. which would be verrry corny...

a good way to find the BPM of the acapella is to get the OG beat and find the bpm of that the acapella will be the same

true! it does take some work.

Ableton Live is cool, but IMO not as good as Melodyne. Correcting timing issues with melodyne is a lot faster.
They have a free demo on their site, anyone working with vocals should really give it a try.
