What's up,
I would like advices from you guys.
I'm producing hip-hop/r&b and pop.
I've been using an MPC-2000 (not XL) since 5 years. It is the brain of my studio. I love the sequencer, but since I got an Ensoniq ASR-10 I realize that my MPC doesn't sound good and pro at all. That's why all the big producers are still using the MPC-3000 or 60 I guess.
I found somebody who is willing to exchange his old MPC-60 for my MPC-2000 (and 200 $). This way I'll have the old school 12 bit sounds I've always been searching for.
My question is:
What about the sequencer? Should I keep my MPC-2000 (I really like it, and I'm used to it)? Or should I take the MPC-60 route? I've heard some people who said that the groove of the 60 is the "real" deal, while others say that the MPC-2000 is more modern.
What do you think?
